Project Description
The Upward Project consists of multiple phases of which four have been completed; Brooks Street Parking Lot, HVAC Upgrade, Fire-Sprinkler Installation, and Help at Home Renovation. For more information on the overall Upward Project, please see our Hub on Smith Upward Project portfolio page.
The Help at Home renovation was completed in 2022. One of the driving considerations in getting this project complete was to create a warm, welcoming environment for Help at Home staff to meet, work, and interact before and after their often difficult and emotionally taxing visits to assist people in their homes. Retention of employees is an ongoing challenge and creating this space was done in part to relieve job related stress.
